Sail Portsmouth will celebrate the region’s maritime history and the city’s 400th anniversary with its annual tall ship festival July 26-31. This year’s Sail Portsmouth festival will feature five tall ships, beginning with the Parade of Sail and Flotilla on the evening of Thursday, July 27 and continuing through the weekend. They will arrive as part of the Parade of Sail up the Piscataqua River and will be visible from New Castle as they enter the river. The parade time estimated to start at approximately 6:15 PM (this can vary with tide and staging times as the parade gets organized in the harbor).  

 

Join members from throughout the Village to watch the Tall Ships arrive and sail up the river to Portsmouth from member Nancy Euchner's home in New Castle. Together, we will be able to see the ships gather in the harbor and watch as they join a flotilla of military vessels and civilian and commercial fishing boats. The parade is a sight to behold. 

 

We’ll have parking for guests, the grills will be on and there will be time to enjoy good company. Bring something to grill and something to share. The Village will provide beverages.

 

Current members may invite a guest as long as they are arriving in the same vehicle.  Additional details will be provided to those who RSVP.
